 Allen Texas Events CenterThe Allen Events Center will be a new 6,275 seat multi-purpose spectator facility. Ground breaking for the Allen Events Center takes place later this month. A Multi-Purpose Facility for the Allen AreaThe $50 million premier entertainment and event center will feature 6,275 fixed seats, with capacity for 8,500 seats, and 26 luxury and club suites. The state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to open October 15, 2009. It will host approximately 150 events each year, with more than 1,000,000 visitors annually. It will feature headline entertainers, professional sports and touring shows. Additional events include trade shows, festivals, cultural and community events. The event center will be home to a CHL franchised hockey team. The Allen Event Center and Arena is a joint venture of Global Entertainment Corporation, The MGHerring Group and the City of Allen. Global Entertainment venues around the country feature concerts with well known recording artists including Don Henley, James Blunt, Stevie Nicks, Kenny Loggins, Willie Nelson, Maroon 5, Brooks and Dunn and The Fray.
